On the Adriatic coast of Italy known for its obsession with great food, Angelo Tredicucci learned the time-honoured skill of artisan pasta making. Inspired by the beauty of New Zealand, Angelo and his wife Michelle set up a hand crafted pasta kitchen in Taupo in 1994. The result is Pasta Mia, which literally means ‘my pasta’, a taste sensation of bronze extruded pasta and traditional sauces made from his family recipes to create the best fresh pasta in New Zealand.
Pasta Mia Ltd is an artisan fresh pasta manufacturer with a small boutique factory located at 23 Manuka street, Taupo. Being situated in Taupo allows Pasta Mia ease of distribution nationwide. Pasta mia Ltd makes a wide range of bronze extruded fresh, dry and filled pasta made to Angelo’s family recipes. The range has also been inspired by the fantastic selection of fresh ingredients available in New Zealand, but always remains true to traditional Italian pasta making techniques. Pasta Mia Ltd supplies food distributors, restaurants, hotels, delis and vineyards throughout New Zealand and collaborates with many chefs to produce customised pasta for their table. Pasta mia Ltd has an HACCP approved food safety programme and have gained a nationwide reputation for their innovation and service as well as the high quality of their pasta, fillings and sauces.
